One thing we’re called upon for frequently by our couples, is our lighting installation services.

Lighting is an essential part of your wedding day. It is likely to feature in almost all your wedding photos and can really give the difference between a lovely photo and an outstanding photograph.

We have years of expertise and the correct equipment, including large Scaffold Towers, that allow us to install lighting quickly and safely whilst also ensuring we don’t cause any damage to the wedding venue. This gives you more time to focus on those forgotten wedding gifts, a last-minute massage or final tweaks to the wedding speeches.

The risk when deciding to do your lighting yourself, is that you may find yourself with poor quality lights (unless your budget is large as good quality lighting is expensive to purchase outright), harsh lighting (the bulbs are often not as higher quality and therefore give a harsh pop rather than a warm glow) and accidents days before your wedding day from ladders on uneven floors. We’ve heard these stories before but we’re here to ensure this doesn’t happen to you!

Ensure that before you have your heart set on a specific look in a specific venue, chat to us. We’ll be able to visit the venue with you and work out if there will be any lighting restrictions or issues that could put a holt on your wedding lighting dreams and come up with alternatives if problems do arise.

We have various lighting options to suit your wedding style such as festoon lighting, staggered festoon lighting, clear wired fairy lights, white wired fairy lights, copper wired battery powered lights and more.

When choosing the lighting style that you want its important to think about the overall look that you are trying to achieve.

Romantic vs Rustic

Fairy lights

Fairy lights provide a romantic and ‘twinkly’ feel to your wedding.

Festoon lighting

Standard festoon lighting gives more of a rustic and laid-back vibe in comparison to fairy lights.

They look great against more laid-bare backdrops such as bricks, corrugated metal and numerous beams.

Staggered festoon lighting

If you opt for staggered festoon lighting, then you will create a modern, quirky feel to your styling. The Edison lightbulbs are bang on trend both inside the home and at weddings! Its soft glow gives a cosy feel to any room.

Fairy lights vs. Festoon lighting

Fairy lights

Fairy lights work well in light and bright areas adding a classy twinkle rather than replacing the main lighting for the venue. Fairy lights are usually a budget-friendly option that will create an ethereal appearance no matter what the venue.

Festoon lighting

As Festoon lighting has large bulbs it lends itself well to dark areas.

They will create an incredible backdrop for your wedding breakfast or dance floor.

Outside lighting

Outside lighting is essential if the venue is low on permanent outdoor lights.

If you’re planning to have an outside bar or areas for your guests to relax outside, we recommend visiting the venue in the dark so that you can get a feel for where lighting will be needed!
