Wow! What a weekend down at the Not Your Average field, everyone at the Wedding Warehouse is thoroughly exhausted, however it was definitely worth it. The sun gods were looking down on us and helped make #WedFest a truly magical day.

For us it was an early start, but everyone was buzzing! And we started our day by making sure we were festival ready with amazing face glitter from Headblush Glitta and face paints from Meadow Arts.

#WedFest goers started the day by exploring the woodland chapel set up ceremony style with furniture from Coordination and styled by yours truly complete with silver birch arch and draping. This was the perfect place to discuss your ceremony and Infinite Love Celebrant and East Sussex Registration were on hand to show how personalised this could really be. We also had the likes of Accordi String Quartet and Going for Broke popping in to add some light entertainment to our woodland chapel.

Heading into the Not Your Average Field, you were greeted by some stunning wedding transport from Chariots Chauffeurs  before entering our wedding wonderland which was housed in a magnificent stretch tent provided by sponsors Tent Style. We had a whole host of amazing wedding offerings from our sponsor Cat Creative who also created our fab lanyards and Fresh Booths, Rose petal Cake Company, D and J Photography and Sussex Event Staff.

As you headed down the field you could get your first taste of yummy food with the cake tent, raising funds for our star of the show Austin. Austin has a rare genetic condition called PTEN, and all profits raised will be donated to PTENUKI charity with cake and Not Your Average bar profits going directly to support Austin and help him hopefully gain access to a drugs trial in the US. The cakes were donated by Coach House.

It was such a hot day, but luckily we weren’t short of refreshments, whether you fancied a pink gin from the NYA bar, or a fruity cider from the Wedding Festival Co’s honesty bar or perhaps a quintessentially British Pimms from the Neigh Bar not forgetting the classic prossecco from the very smart Fizzy Rascal. And to soak it all up there was pizza on offer from Fire n Crust or a selection of mediterranean options from Gastro Catering finished off with an ice cream from Indulgent Ice Cream, our personal favourite being the salted caramel yum!

We loved the chilled out festival vibe all of our amazing suppliers brought to the day, with Uptown Music, the Disco Bug and DJ Brian Mole providing the music as our couples browsed, ate, drank and generally had a great day. We hope there was something for everyone and have to say our children were kept entertained with Off the Wall EntertainmentPoppy’s Parties and the perfect white bouncy castle from JD Family Entertainment. While Stephen the Magician wowed us all, old and young!

There really was so much to do and see, we’d like to thank everyone who came and made the day spectacular. Watch this space for the video courtesy of Tom Robins films and Elcee Videography! We can’t wait for next year already!
